Do you have a problem with damp, condensation and mould?

This is a common occurring problem in bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens. Condensation will occur when water vapour or steam being generated through breathing, cooking, bathing, showering and clothes drying is allowed to travel throughout the house. The warm moist air travels to the coldest spots in a room and then condensates. After a period of time the condensation begins to form mould growth. Mould is an unsightly, odorous fungus which has been identified as the source of many serious health problems, including infections, asthma, allergies and sinusitis.

We can solve this problem with a Positive Input Ventilation Unit

In order to eradicate the cause of the problem and not just the effects, it is necessary to introduce adequate ventilation to allow moisture-laden air to escape from the home before condensation occurs. To achieve this we recommend the installation of a Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) unit. This system gently supplies tempered, filtered air into your home using otherwise unused heat within your loft space. By installing a PIV unit you will ensure that old, contaminated, stale, moist air in your home is continuously diluted, displaced and replaced with clean, dry, filtered air. The result is improved indoor air quality and an environment in which condensation, dampness and bacteria-laden mould cannot exist.

Installation Process

We will supply, install and commission the PIV unit with minimal disruption to your home. The PIV unit is mounted in the loft space, drawing dry and relatively warm air through the filters and imputing it into the property via an inconspicuous, unobtrusive vent, at ceiling level. This vent is usually positioned in a central point of the dwelling like the top of the stairs or in a hallway.

Benefits of a PIV system

Extremely Low Power Consumption

Average approximately 0.16 watts / litre / second and solar gains up to 550kW / hr / year. In simple terms, the PIV unit will provide a significantly greater amount of energy into the home than the energy it consumes in the form of electricity, providing a considerable net energy gain.

Very Low Maintenance Requirements

Filter clean or replacement every 5 years.

Fit & Forget Operation

The PIV unit is fully automatic.

Significantly improves indoor air quality

The PIV unit removes indoor air pollutants such as carbon monoxide and keeps out traffic fumes, pollen and outdoor pollutants.

Creates A Healthier Living Enviroment

The PIV unit prevents condensation and mould forming in your property. High efficiency G4 filters removes up to 95% dust particles, which is clinically proven to help allergy and asthma sufferers.
